How are investment projects selected?
GreaterCapital assesses applicant organisations and the projects they are proposing using two separate evaluation tools.
Drawing on the GreaterGood group’s extensive social development experience and reach, GreaterCapital has developed an expert organisational capacity diagnostic tool to assess the capacity of non profit organisations, according to both qualitative and quantitative metrics. The tool looks at the purpose, strategic planning, performance, resources, governance and sustainability of the organisation and its activities, and results in a dynamic organisational development rating that highlights the current areas of strength and weakness.
GreaterCapital has also developed a comprehensive project assessment tool which looks at risks related to concept, design, capability, control, sustainability and external factors that may affect the successful implementation of the project. The tool evaluates the project’s potential impact in terms of the breadth, depth, intensity, urgency, need and permanence of the intervention.
GreaterCapital’s research and evaluation team visit every applicant organisation to conduct the evaluations in person. The results of their findings are assessed in a peer review process, and then collated into the ratings presented with each SASIX Project listing.
