Listing process and timelines
These are important things to note and understand about the listing process:
- Your application form and supporting documents will be reviewed by SASIX evaluation staff and a peer review panel. If the application is successful, your project will be listed on SASIX for investment.
- Our evaluation process is rigorous and consists of a number of phases. Once listed, investment is reliant on investor interest in your project. We have a number of campaigns that will drive investors to the platform but it is important for your own expectations to appreciate that the process takes time.
- Timelines for listing can be illustrated as follows:
- Evaluation process: 3-5 months
- Listing to full investment: 3–12 months
- Payment of investment funds: on agreement and completion of a Grant Agreement (funds are normally paid in tranches against project deliverables)
- SASIX does not guarantee funds or items to any organisation. We act as an intermediary between donors and beneficiaries only. If projects are not funded within a period of time, we will de-list them. This is normally done in a sensitive way taking cognizance of the investors that have invested (and what they want to have happen with the funds) as well as the needs of the project.
- SASIX does not list projects which promote discrimination or a particular religious or political viewpoint.
- Information workshops designed to provide guidelines on completing an application for listing on SASIX are being held in various centers in the week of 7th September. Go to www.sasix.co.za for more information.
